Why We Love It:
François Mikulski farms just 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay on the lower slopes bordering Meursault, from two parcels planted in 1986 and 2005. The soil is fine alluvial river sediment, and the wine takes on Meursault's characteristics: length in the mouth, rich, keeps well.

2023 was the rare Burgundy year that gave both quality and quantity - whites are more transparent and more typically Burgundian than 2022s, with acidity, fruit and alcohol in perfect harmony.

Vinification: Native yeasts, ∼10 months in oak barrel (small % new) + 2 months in tank. Practicing Organic.

Official Tasting: FULL-BODIED, CANDIED ORANGE, YELLOW PEACH, WHITE PEPPER, SEA SALT, OAK

This vintage runs spicy and candied: orange and yellow peach, peppercorn and star anise, closing salty and long. Aromatically floral with apple, pear and lemon rind. On the palate, succulent and rounded medium weight, bone-dry, punchy and youthfully austere finish.

In the mouth this white wine is powerful with a nice freshness. Perfect with rich fish, shellfish, crab cakes, pan-fried scallops, or mild cheese.
